Introducing 'The Fastback'!

Here's my new design 'The Fastback'

Hubby loved this one, so much so that he said I should name it :D

We thought about it and what it reminded us most of was a muscle car with a cool paint job!

'The Fastback' was born!

If you like it let me know and make sure to wear it! I would love to hear about (and see) what color combos you come up with.

Let's all get together and start a new design, Whatcha think????

Orly 'Royal Navy'

I love this blue!

Thanks to Fingers from http://www.fingerspolishmania.blogspot.com/ for sending it to me!!!
You ROCK!

It applied perfectly as usual  for an Orly :D

This was dull after application so be ready with your topcoats ladies!

Close Up of yummy micro glitter infused blue heaven :D

Week 13- Ruffian Nails :P

OK, first off I don't like this :P I'm not a big fan of the Ruffian.

I do, however, like this color combo.

On my pinky is my interpretation, which I have shown before in my corset mani.

Week 12 Skittle Mani

Wow, here I am again posting on the last day! We just got back from the road trip out west last night at about 10pm. To top it off my son and I caught a nasty little cold that has settled into our chests :P needless to say I feel kinda terrible so this will be a short post.

Here's my Skittle mani for week 12. I started with a base of China Glaze 'Liquid Leather' and then added some Pure Ice white to the tips as a primer for the bright colors. I used a mix of nail art paints from Kiss, LA Colors and Kleancolor.

Hubby really liked the way these turned out.

Here's a shot with the thumb.

And lastly a shot of my right hand. I kind of rushed this because I was feeling a little light headed so forgive the shaky hand. I think it still looks fun though :) Did you all enjoy doing the challenge this week?

I should be back to posting on a regular basis by mid next week I hope :) Thanks to all who keep peeking in even in my recent absence. XOXOXO

Go Go Green & Franken :) Week 11- St. Patty's Day Mani

Here's the second try for my St. Patty's Day Mani. I used the same Mabeline green and then topped it with my own franken. I made the franken with a shimmering lime base thinned down with clear and then added a ton of glitters- green and gold bars, green and gold glitters and green and gold multi sized hex pieces.

I made this franken just for St. Patty's Day and I'm really happy with it. The hex pieces got a little shy on the side and bottom of the bottle so you don't really see them but here and there.

Here's a close up

I'm not sure why but I couldn't seem to get a good shot of this. I may have just been rushed to get my packing and planning done for the trip :)

We just left Disneyland after spending 5 days there and are on our way to Vegas! WhooHoo! We should be there in about two hours, wish me luck ;D It  is St. Patty's Day after all

Go Go Green!

Hi all! I'm on vacation right now but thought I would share the green combos I tried out for St. Patty's Day just before I left.

This is a base of pearly lime green by Mabeline which I think was called 'Go-Go Green' and topped with a green and gold glitter by Sinful Colors (I have no idea what the name is sorry lol).

I liked using this light base to make the dark green and gold glitters pop. Unfortunately it looked horrible on my skin tone so I only wore it for the pictures.

Here's a close up of that yummy glitter :D

Week 10 Polka Dot Mani

I just love this one! We are headed out to Disneyland in two more days so I thought I would do a test run on my Disney themed mani.

I started with two coats of Milani 'Ready to Wear Red', added some white dots with WnW 'White Cream' and a dotting tool and then I did the transfer technique for the mini mouse designs on my ring fingers. I think I may do a tutorial on how to do those if anyone is interested.

The dots aren't perfect but from a distance they look fairly uniform I think.
This Milani shade is very pretty but a smidge dark for Mini Mouse. I think and I will probably be using a lighter shade of red for next week

Here's the right hand. I couldn't have even come close to getting this design on my right hand if I tried to  freehand it! This is the first time I tried the transfer and you can bet I will be using it again!

Whatcha think? Are you Disney fans? Ever been to Disneyland? Have any tips for us during the trip?

Week 9 Vintage Nails

So, here I am again posting my challenge on the last day of the week. Sorry gals, I'm still just in the dumps about the passing of my sweet dog. It's been hard to enjoy things the last couple weeks but each day it's a little less sad. I also spent the first three days of this week in a conference from 7:30-6:30 so there hasn't been time for too much fun lately.

Any who, here is my interpretation of 'Vintage' nails :)

I used Ulta 'Gentle Ginger' as a base and stamped with Sally Hansen's 'Coco-a-go-go'

When I thought of vintage I kept going back to vintage clothing or wallpaper lol. So here is my 'vintage wallpaper'.

Here is a shot of Ulta 'Gentle Ginger' by itself. It went on a little streaky but it is a truly beautiful cream. This is the first cream I have worn that actually compliments my skin tone.
