Week 8- Corset Nails

This is my corset nail design for the challenge. I had planned to post this last weekend but unfortunately couldn't. It's been a tough week and I am just now logging back in from last weekend.

This is NYX 'Deep Space' topped with a stripe of Pure Ice 'Risk Taker' and then detailed with Milani black nail striper polish and a dotting tool.

I really enjoyed this combo because it was a bit more unexpected and subtle than most corset designs I have seen;

I really loved how it looked with just a stripe of 'Risk Taker'! Kind of like a ruffian, but better :D I think I will be wearing this design just like this in the near future.

I really love 'Risk Taker' all by itself too. It's my favorite Pure Ice ever, pretty color, easy application, and a one coater if you're in a hurry.

Happy V-day Mani!

My Valentine's Day Mani ;D I started with Orly's 'Au Champagne' (which I have been dying to use)
and China Glaze 'City Siren' on my accent finger.

I always find white difficult to apply/wear because of the clean up. I don't know why but it seems less forgiving than other colors, maybe it's just me.

The consistency of Au Champagne was quite smooth though and went on nearly perfect with three coats. City Siren was super easy application with just two coats and worked amazingly well for stamping!
It is my new favorite red to stamp with!

The skies are blue but we got our very first snow of the season just the night before :)
It is Texas though so it's no surprise it didn't stick to the ground :(

On my right hand I decided to try something different. I figured whichever I liked best I would just put on both hands after I finished. Well, I couldn't choose and they both went well together so I'm wearing them both :)

The holographic hearts came from a bottle of Rue Beautie. I picked them out one by one with my dotting tool. I really like them! They're fun and add a bit of whimsy to the mani.

Hubby really liked this one and gave it a "solid 8.5" lol.

Valentine 2- Wild with Hearts :)

This is Color Club 'Wild at Heart' with stamping from Red Angle plates using Pure Ice 'Outrageous' plus a few heart rhinestones for good measure :)

I call it Wild with Hearts :D

These were taken outdoors in natural light but still came out with funky coloring ;/

Oh well, you'll just have to take my word for it then that it was pretty and oh so fun to wear :)

A little funky french on the tips (just for you Fingers )

I thought it finished off the design well.

Color Club 'Wild at Heart'

I've had 'Wild at Heart' for months now and just finally got around to wearing it :P

This is a gorgeous polish and went on so incredibly smooth. this is two coats with SV topcoat.

This is loaded with micro holo particles and so very  interesting to look at. I just love it!

If you don't have it, and you like holo polishes and purple than you must find it!

And a blurry one to show the lovely holo goodness :D

Do yo have this polish?

Big Rings :)

Here is most of my collection of big rings.
I wanted to post this last Monday but it just never seemed to happen ;)

I love wearing these! They are so bold and fun. I get a ton of compliments on them just about every time I'm out of the house.

I just adore these and I wear all of them, all the time. (Except the Halloween ones which are pretty much just for October.) Some of the larger black and skull ones were bought for my Husbands costume this year, Jack Sparrow :D They worked great with his costume!

These pictures aren't the best to showcase each one but I just didn't feel like taking nearly 50 individual pictures. Nor, I'm sure, did you want to scroll through 50 pics :)

These are the only three that have the stretch elastic backs on them. I'm not really of fan of these because they can be quite uncoforatable and pinch AND if you hook them up on something (almost impossible not to do given their size) then the elastic can snap and break! :P I tend to stick with the adjustables but really prefer the set sized ones.

Do you have any Big Rings? Do you like them?

More Stamping on 'Femme Fatal'

Before I took off 'Femme Fatal' I tried a bit more stamping with a Konad plate.

I was just playing around with this one so I wasn't very careful with the stamping so there's a little smudging here and there. :)

I don't know why but I really like this picture...feels a little 'Art-sy' to me lol.

I've never really been a fan of crackle polish but I must say that I really liked how the Wet n Wild crackle effect came out. I'm still not in love with it but let just say I don't hate it :)

I really liked this stamp pattern and I'm sure I'll be using it again.

Week 7-Valentine's Mani Heartbroken

Here is my first Valentine mani for this week. I have a couple others so check back and I should have them up on Monday and Tuesday :D

This is Ulta 'Femme Fatal' with some heart stamping from Bundle Monster plates and a little Crackle from Wet n Wild on the accent fingers.

I call it heartbroken :)

I used Sally Hansen's Gold paint pen for the stamping polish. This is my first time using it and I was happily surprised at how well it worked. Using it as a base polish was a disaster though due to the crazy streaks and unevenness due to the consistency and the awful stiff brush! But as a stamping polish it's great!

Sorry about the red skin, lighting problems :/

Ulta 'Femme Fatal'

This is Ulta 'Femme Fatal'

The pictures are a bit fuzzy with some funky lighting :/ I was trying a different light source when I took these and it didn't work so well. I didn't notice though till I had already taken it off and moved on to the next mani, oops :D

This is is two generous coats with no topcoat.

Really pretty shimmering deep brown with a purple hue

I love this  one and will be wearing it again for sure

Half moon 3 + stamping (fail)

Ok, well I did these last week somtime and wasn't gonna post them BUT I figured this is a blog about all my designs and not all of them are great. I still put in the work so I'm gonna post it :P

I started out with Color Club 'Lumin-esence' as a base and used my new Red Angle plates to stamp on the half moon design. Clearly I need more practice lol.

I thought the gap was too large so I filled in (by hand) with more WnW 'Black Cream'.

Here it is in the sun

On a positive note I thought the stamp pattern was pretty :)

I know not a great mani but it's still something to look at right? :D

Pink Wednesday & Half Moon 2

Here is my second take on the Half Moon Mani Challenge for this week plus it's pink :)

I started with 10 'Always and Forever'. This was kind of a pain to apply due to the streaks and it took three thick coats to cover well. I'm just glad I got it on clearance because I had to put in lot more effort with this one ;P Then I added Finger Paints 'Stunning Stilettos' and some white (to trim it out) with a nail art brush. I didn't use any guides with this one so each nail is slightly different.

I used 10 'Birthday Suit' on top of it all to give it a hint of creamy blue shimmer and a few hexagon glitter pieces from Kleancolor 'Chunky Silver'. I used the glitter instead of rhinestone this time because I always have issues with the rhinestones either falling off or driving me so nuts that I have to pick them off lol. I think it's a great alternative and I'll be substituting glitter for rhinestones every chance I get :D

Indoors in the artifical lighting it looks a little more peachy than outdoors.

I don't know why but the combonation of pink, grey and white was just stuck in my head.;

Here are a couple shots of 10 'Always and Forever' by itself.

It changes a lot in different lighting as you can see. I think mostly it's a shade right in between these last two pictures.

What do you guys think? Have you tried and of the polishes from 10?
Did you have application issues with them or is it just me lol?
