Verticle Striped Water Marble

This is my first attempt at the stripes design with water marbling. I think they came out OK. I didn't have to redo any of them- that's a first lol.

I used Pure Ice 'Calypso' for my accent fingers and stamped them with Konad m64 with Konad White special polish

Here's one of my new 'Big and Bold' rings to match my new mani :D

I made my water marble design with LA Colors (a non name medium blue cream and a teal cream) along with Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear White On. Pardon the goop on the white ;) The water marbling can get a little messy at times :)

I really miss doing water marbling, I need to make sure I do one every couple of weeks or so. What do you guys think? Do you water marble? What's your favorite blend of colors? Do you use the flower pattern, star pattern, swirls or just random?

  1. Great design! The colors look like ripples in a pool :)

  2. This is beautiful!

I've only water marbled once before. I never have time to do it!

  3. OMG! your water marble design is so great!

  4. Love all you water marbles! I haven't had the time (and guts) to try it yet.

BTW, next Sunday I registered to the Run for the Cure in Montreal. I want a very special mani, pink ribbon theme, it goes without saying! Can you show us some of your inspirations until the end of the week??? Pleeeease! ;o) XXXX

  5. @Gotham- Thanks so much! You're right they do :) I didn't see it till you said it though :D

@Nail Designs- Thanks girlie! You are always so sweet. It does take a bit longer but I find that I get a little quicker at it each time. You should do another one!

@Nail Venturous- Thanks!! I really love the water marling and I kinda miss it. I'm going to try to do a photo tutorial soon and by request of another reader maybe even a video if I can figure out how LOL. I'm still very green at all this.

@Peche- Is this you Line? Did you get a new GFC account? Sure looks like your nails :D

You really should try it! It doesn't always go to plan but there are happy suprises all the time with it:) The learning curve with this technique is very fast if you just don't get discouraged.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea! You have totally inspired me! I have already started making some designs :D I will have something to show you VERY soon.

  6. Hi dear! Yes it's Line. I have a FB page for nail art stuff, but lately I was kind of with FB with alls their changes. :/

So I decided to take the plunge... and I started a blog! I have 3 members so far, and I add your blog to my friend blog list ;)
